Abstract:
Financial institutions provide an indication of the financial situation of the country its located in. This aids foreign investors when deciding whether to invest or not. In order to be a successful bank, the management must consequently review costs of operations. One important area for banks is the non-performing loans (NPLs) which can be viewed negatively by contributors. This research focuses on development of a system to optimize debt collection from debtor through a web application which will help facilitate workloads in this field. There were 2 main objectives, firstly, develop an information system for the delivery of data of impaired customers to the outsourced collection firm via web service technology. Secondly, evaluate the satisfaction towards the system. This system is in the form of web application, tools used included Visual Studio.NET language in Visual Basic with XML, and Database SQL server.
The performance of the system was tested by specialists (5 people) and general users (10 people). Results from the specialist found mean equaled 4.21. While, the general users mean equaled 3.82. In conclusion, the developed system achieved all goals and gained a high level of satisfaction from all users.
