A development of information systems for estimating budget and expenditure reports : a case study of the Faculty of Information Technology King Mongkut's University of Technology North Bangkok
Abstract:
A special problem is presented in the development of Information Systems for Estimating
Budget and Expenditure Reports. This will be an effective administrative tool for the Faculty of
Information Technology, at King Mongkut's University of Technology North Bangkok. A system
administrator employs the application to create a budget to be approved by the management level.
It is designed to be efficient and reduce provisioning time and costs as well as a way of data
exchange. The application is developed via web interface by ASP.NET, HTML, and Java Script
programming language in the Microsoft SQL Server 2005 platform.
The system has been evaluated by sampling 20 people: 5 experts and 15 end users. The
evaluation used mean and standard deviation to analyze the satisfaction of the sample groups
toward the system. The results showed that mean and standard deviation of the sampling groups
were as follows; the experts (3.74 and 0.59), executives (3.92 and 0.42), users (3.77 and 0.87),
and the system administrators (4.23 and 0.58) respectively. Therefore, the evaluation results of
this system were very good.
