A Study on learning achievement in sufficiency economy philosophy using sufficiency community activity method of non formal high school students in Phang - nga province in academic year 2010
Abstract:
The purposes of this research were 1) to study learning achievement in sufficiency economy philosophy using sufficiency community activity method of nonformal high school students, 2) to study moral level of students taught by sufficiency community activity method, and 3) to study students satisfaction toward sufficiency community activity method. The populations were 116 of non-formal high school students in Taai-muang district, Phang-nga province in the first semester of academic year 2010. The samples were 20 non-formal high school students taught by the researcher in Lampee sub-district by mean of purposive sampling. The research instruments consisted of the followings : 1) 7 lesson plans developed by a researcher on sufficiency economy philosophy using sufficiency community activity method living sufficiently, roaming via internet, challenging crisis, adjusting to environment, being sufficiency, visiting sufficiency community, and being happiness, 2) an achievement test with difficulty at .58 -.68, discrimination at .24 up, and a reliability at .73, 3) a moral questionnaire test with a reliability at .74, and 4) a satisfactory questionnaire test with a reliability at .85. The data were analyzed by utilizing means, Standard deviation and the t test. The findings revealed that : 1) learning achievement in sufficiency economy philosophy using sufficiency community activity method of nonformal high school students after studying was higher significantly at the 0.1 level, 2) students moral taught by sufficiency community activity was at high level, and 3) students satisfactory toward sufficiency community activity was at the highest level. The results of using lesson plans of sufficiency community activity method could be concluded that the activities encouraged students to work in team, be cohesive, elicit bodies of knowledge, criticize and synthesis, share ideas, assist each other, be self study, and enthuse solving problems. The students satisfied at the highest level because the sufficiency community activity method was effective with suitable process, responded the needs of students, focused on learning by doing ,and balanced mixed various knowledge.
