Research participants were the third year nurse students from the class of'05. Data were gathered by questionnaire developed by researcher. The Questionnaire had three man sections : personal data, opinion towards teaching and learning management of adult nursing 4 subject, and open-ended questionnaire focusing on problems and obstacles. The questionnaire was validated by four experts. It reliability analyzed by Alpha Chronbach's Coefficient was at 0.93. Frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation were means of data analysis.
Research results were as follows
1. In macro analysis, nurse students' opinions mean score towards teaching and learning management of adult nursing 4 subject during year 2003 was at a good level, (X = 4.38, SD. = .65) meaning that mkost of students agreed to the college management. The factor with highest score was training field, (X = 4.78, S.D. = .48) meaning that the training fields were appropiateness. The second level was teacher readiness and self-preparation before training. (X = 4.51, S.D. = .58) Other section from the third to the least score were clinical teaching, teaching and learning activities, learning practicum achievement, instructor, mentors, filed trip visiting, length of learning practicum and evaluation respectively. {(X = 4.50, S.D. = .62), (X = 4.47, S.D. = .57), (X = 4.37, S.D. = .57), (X = 4.33, S.D. = .63), (X = 4.29, S.D. = .67), (X = 4.20, S.D. = .73), (X = 4.18, S.D. = .88), (X = 4.15, S.D. = .75)}
2. Problems and barriers of teaching and learning of adult nursing 4 subject could be concluded into four main factors.
2.1 Problems and barriers among learners were lack of knowledge on operation equipments such as name, how to pass such equipments during operation, working system at practice field, unfamiliar with practice field and had no confdent during practice.
2.2 Problems and barriers from mentors roles were register nurse as mentor did not teach, explain, provide support, instruct, orientation to practice, did not provide chance for practice when their instructors were not available. The mentor's blamed students on unskill performance, given unfair mark, and scoring by different standard, fault-finding, made students confused because of different nursing performance and with different nursing care techniques. Problems and barriers from instructors were too much assignment with no time for selt study and students were confused with different standardized of nursing techniques by their instructors.
2.3 Problems and barriers from teaching and learning process were no orientation to operation equipment, how to pass tools in operation theaters, gained not enough practice experiences due to sharing experiences with other students from different course training, no variety of cases, too short training time in operation theater, too much assignments with no time for self study.
2.4 Problems and barriers towards field trip visiting were visiting time too long with not worth going, and did not gained experiences as mention in visiting objectives.
There are two main suggestions for applying research results to further teaching and learning, and further research as follows :
1. For teaching and learning ;
1.1 should develop evaluation handout for evaluation standardized;
1.2 should reward efficiency mentors for their teaching supports in order to motivate them;
2. for the next research;
2.1 should explore opinion from further student groups in the focus of their experience on teaching and learning management by college for the quality of teaching and learning development;
2.2 should study opinion of the involved persons in teaching and learning such as mentors and instructors for advancing and confirming of research result.
