Abstract:
The purposes of this research were 1) to investigate causal factors influencing to students learning achievement on Mathematics for Matthayomsuksa 6 under the jurisdiction of Chaiyaphum Education Service Area Office 1. 2) to develop a model of causal factors influencing to the students learning achievement on Mathematics for Matthayomsuksa 6 student under the jurisdiction of Chaiyaphum Education Service Area Office 1. Samples were 400 Matthayomsuksa 6 under the jurisdiction of Chaiyaphum Education Service Area Office 1 in academic year 2/2009. A stratified random sampling was employed. Instruments were questionnaires. The statistic techniques analyzed data were Mean, S.D. and Pearsons Product-Moment Correlation Coefficient. To examine measurement and structural models, LISREL 8.80 (student) program was employed.
The finding were :
1. The causal factors influencing to the students learning achievement on Mathematics for Matthayomsuksa 6 student under the jurisdiction of Chaiyaphum Education Service Area Office 1 were at high level in terms of parents expectation, family relationship and attitude toward mathematics. Parents reinforcement and supporting, background knowledge, self-concept ,achievement motive and intention in learning were at medium level. Whereas learning skill was at low level. Background knowledge, learning were influenced statistically significant to the students learning achievement on mathematics.
2. The model relationship between casual factors and learning achievement on Mathematics for Matthayomsuksa 6 student under the jurisdiction of Chaiyaphum Education Service Area Office1 was developed congruously with empirical data measured by Chi-square = 24.68
(p = 0.171), GFI = 0.99 and AGFI = 0.96.
3. The direct variables influencing to learning achievement on Mathematics for Matthayomsuksa 6 student under the jurisdiction of Chaiyaphum Education Service Area Office1 were background knowledge whereas indirect variables influencing learning achievement were parents expectation, learning skill, self-concept, attitude toward mathematics. Parentsreinforcement and supporting, family relationship, achievement motive and intention in learning influenced both direct and indirect to learning achievement.
