Abstract:
The purpose of this research was to study of the school directors opinions on the
Performance of school boards in the Jurisdiction of Chaiyaphum Educational Service Area Office 3. The population and sample consisted of 215 school directors under the Jurisdiction of Chaiyaphum Educational Service Area Office 3. Questionnaire constructed by the researcher was used as the instrument for collecting data. The questionnaire had reliability of 0.98. The data were subsequently analyzed by the use of frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation.
The findings of the study were as follows;
The school directors under the Jurisdiction of Chaiyaphum Educational Service Area Office 3 showed their opinions towards the fundamental education school committees roles as a whole at a high level. Their opinions considering to each item were ranging respectively from the highest to the lowest as followed : regarding the promotion and support all students within the service area to be widely received quality and standard of fundamental education; the supervising schools plans, the agreement to schools annual action plans ; the promotion on the community and school relationship, as well as relating private sectors and government sectors ; to make the school to be a community academic resource and parts of community and local development ; the promotion on educational resources, personnel resources and local wisdom to enable students development, and to preserve local and national tradition, art, and culture ; the agreement to school annual report to be publicized ; the promotion of the protection of childrens rights, the caring of disable children, special children, and gifted children to receive their fully potential development ; and others works receiving from the under the Jurisdiction of Chaiyaphum
Educational Service Area Office 3. In addition, the committee showed their opinions at a medium level on regarding the setting of policy and plan on schools development ; the proposal and participation in academic management, budget management, personnel management, and general management ; and the agreement on course syllabuses to be in accordance with the communitys need.
