Development an Integrated Learning Unit for Basic Education Basing on Action Research: The Study of Bannakanhukprachanusorn School, Nongbuadaeng District, Chaiyaphum Province.
Abstract:
The purposes of this study were to develop an integrated learning unit for basic education and to examine the effectiveness of the integrated learning unit created. 5 administrators, 25 team works and 164 students at Bannakanhukprachanusorn school and school networks in Nongbuadaeng district, Chaiyaphum province were purposively selected.
The action research principles containing 2 operation reflecting cycles were conducted in this study. The data were collected through negotiating, orientation, workshop, teamwork, task studying, supervision, task assessment, observation, performance recording, reflection learning unit and informal interview in the first cycle and they were implemented in the second cycle by using pre-teaching conference, teaching, observation, performance recording, informal interview, reflection and questionnaire techniques. Data analysis was carried out through statistical method, percentage, mode, mean and standard deviation. The qualitative data was carried out by content analysis.
The research results were: 1) the efficiency of integrated learning unit depended on intellectual criteria and practical criteria 2) the efficiency of integrated learning unit and integrated lesson plan were accurate and appropriate criteria 3) the students learning achievement passed the criteria and 4) the positive attitude of administrators and team works towards the integrated learning unit were at a high level.
