Abstract: This study investigates diaspora organizations in general and the Sindhi Diaspora in particular. It thoroughly studies the two major Sindhi Diaspora organizations: the World Sindhi Congress and the Sindhi Association of North America and it is the case study of a well-known Sindhi Diaspora organization, the World Sindhi Institute. The study identifies, examines and evaluates the role of World Sindhi Institute in protection and promotion of human rights of Sindhi people. This study evaluates the Sindhi Diaspora organization’s role and how it uses the UN’s treaty bodies in their advocacy strategy for the protection of human rights. The focus is on their advocacy strategy and activities that the Sindhi Diaspora organizations are conduct. This study reveals how the activities and advocacy work at the World Sindhi Institute bring together the Diaspora community living in America and Europe and build contact with Sindhi people who are living in Sindh. Finally, this study suggests that the World Sindhi Institute is a growing diaspora organization that is struggling for the protection of human rights of Sindhi people. It uses different advocacy and lobbying methods to disseminate information and awareness on the human rights issues of Sindh.
