Abstract: The purpose of this research was to study the way farmers’ apply pesticide at Amphur Muang, Nakhon Pathom Province and to study factors affecting this application. A questionnaire was used to collect data. The sample was 353 farmers. The research found that most of the farmers applied pesticide properly at an acceptable level of risk. The research found that independent variables such as knowledge of the danger of chemical pesticide application affected their behavior significantly. Sex, age, educational level, farm size, land ownership, and annual household income before deducting expenses did not affect their behavior significantly. It is recommended for future study that the authorities pay more attention and cooperate in providing knowledge of chemical pesticides and their hazards. They should provide training in environmental education to create good consciousness of responsibility to the environment in the community so that we can have continuous development of the environment and farmers’ quality of life.

Abstract: การวิจัยครั้งนี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาพฤติกรรมการใช้สารเคมีป้องกันและกำ จัดศัตรู พืชของเกษตรกร เพื่อศึกษาปัจจัยที่มีผลต่อพฤติกรรมการใช้สารเคมีป้องกันและกำ จัดศัตรูพืชของ เกษตรกรผู้ปลูกผัก อำ เภอเมือง จังหวัดนครปฐม โดยใช้แบบสอบถามเก็บข้อมูล กลุ่มตัวอย่างที่เป็น เกษตรกร อำ เภอเมือง จังหวัดนครปฐม จำ นวน 353 ราย จากผลการวิจัยพบว่าเกษตรกรส่วนใหญ่มีความรู้เรื่องการใช้สารเคมีป้องกันและกำ จัด ศัตรูพืชและความรู้เรื่องอันตรายจากการใช้สารเคมีป้องกันและกำ จัดศัตรูพืชอยู่ในระดับปานกลาง การศึกษาปัจจัยกระตุ้นพบว่าตัวแปรอิสระได้แก่ ความรู้เรื่องอันตรายจากการใช้สาร เคมี ป้องกันและกำ จัดศัตรูพืช มีผลต่อพฤติกรรมการใช้สารเคมีป้องกันและกำ จัดศัตรูพืชอย่างมีนัย สำ คัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ 0.01 ส่วน เพศ อายุ การศึกษา ขนาดพื้นที่เพาะปลูก ลักษณะการถือครองที่ ดิน รายได้ของครัวเรือนก่อนหักค่าใช้จ่าย ไม่พบว่ามีผลต่อพฤติกรรมการใช้สารเคมีป้องกันและ กำ จัดศัตรูพืชอย่างมีนัยสำ คัญทางสถิติ ข้อเสนอแนะจาการศึกษาเห็นควรให้หน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้องให้ความสำ คัญและร่วมมือ กันในการให้ความรู้ ความเข้าใจในเรื่องการใช้สารเคมีป้องกันและกำ จัดศัตรูพืช และอันตรายที่อาจ เกิดจากการใช้สารเคมีป้องกันและกำ จัดศัตรูพืช รวมถึงจัดใหมี้การฝกึ อบรมให้ความรูด้ า้นสิ่งแวด ล้อมศึกษาเพื่อก่อให้เกิดจิตสำ นึกที่ดีในการรับผิดชอบต่อสิ่งแวดล้อมร่วมกันในระดับชุมชน ทั้งนี้ เพื่อการพัฒนาสิ่งแวดล้อมและคุณภาพชีวิตของเกษตรกร
