Abstract:
Electronic learning has helped develop students’ abilities in a large number
of fields.
The objectives of this study are as follows: 1) to establish an electronic
learning system for geographic information system subject through the internet, and
2) to compare the students’ knowledge before and after using this electronic learning
system. The contents of the geographic information system are based upon the subject
of GIS537: Geographic Information System for Natural Resource Management at
Mahidol University. The population samples are the graduate students of the Faculty
of Environment and Resource Studies, Mahidol University.
This electronic learning system has been developed through the following
processes: teaching and learning characteristics identification, web page design and
development, system installation, and system evaluation. It has been set up as an
automatic self-study service through the internet. The electronic learning system
evaluated by the system analyst and GIS experts has shown good results in web page
design, structure, and efficiency. The geographic information system contents are
good. In addition, the comparison of the knowledge of students, using t-test at the
level of 0.01, has shown that this electronic learning system could strengthen
understanding the geographic information system subject.
Abstract:
การศึกษาครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ เพื่อจัดทำระบบการเรียนการสอนระยะไกล เรื่องระบบสารสนเทศภูมิศาสตร์ ผ่านทางอินเตอร์เน็ท และเพื่อเปรียบเทียบความรู้ของนักศึกษาเกี่ยวกับระบบสารสนเทศภูมิศาสตร์ที่มีก่อนและหลังการใช้ระบบการเรียนการสอนระยะไกลดังกล่าว โดยเนื้อหาของระบบสารสนเทศภูมิศาสตร์เป็นไปตามเนื้อหาของวิชา สวสท 537 ระบบสารสนเทศภูมิศาสตร์ เพื่อการจัดการทรัพยากรธรรมชาติ และประชากรที่ศึกษา คือ นักศึกษาระดับปริญญาโทของคณะสิ่งแวดล้อมและทรัพยากรศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล
ระบบการเรียนการสอนระยะไกล เรื่องระบบสารสนเทศภูมิศาสตร์ ดำเนินการโดยผ่านกระบวนการต่างๆ ประกอบด้วย การวิเคราะห์ลักษณะการเรียนการสอน การออกแบบการเรียนการสอน การออกแบบเว็บเพ็จ การติดตั้งระบบ และการประเมินระบบ ระบบการเรียนการสอนระยะไกลนี้ ถูกจัดทำเป็นรูปแบบของเครื่องให้บริการที่มีการเรียนรด้วยตนเองผ่านทางเว็บเพ็จ ซึ่งเป็นสื่อเพื่อเสริมจากการเรียนการสอนในห้องเรียน จากการประเมินโดยผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านระบบสารสนเทศภูมิศาสตร์ พบว่าระบบการเรียนการสอนระยะไกลที่จัดทำขึ้นนั้น ในส่วนของการออกแบบเว็บเพ็จ องค์ประกอบและประสิทธิภาพของเว็บเพ็จอยู่ในเกณฑ์ค่อนข้างดี สำหรับความเหมาะสม และความยากง่ายของเนื้อหาก็อยู่ในเกณฑ์ดีเช่นกัน สำหรับการเปรียบเทียบความรู้เกี่ยวกับระบบสารสนเทศภูมิศาสตร์ที่มีก่อนและหลังการใช้ระบบการเรียนการสอนระยะไกล โดยใช้สถิติ t-test ที่ระดับนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ 0.01 พบว่า ระบบการเรียนการสอนระยะไกลสามารถช่วยให้ผู้เรียนมีความรู้ความเข้าใจเกี่ยวกับระบบสารสนเทศภูมิศาสตร์เพิ่มขึ้น
