Abstract:
he objectives of the research on An analysis of determinants of purchasing decision and customer satisfaction on the medical devices cleaning solution of the hospital in Bangkok area were to (1) study the determinants of purchasing decision on deconex medical devices cleaning solution of the hospital in Bangkok area (2) to compare the Chief of CSSD Officers expectation before purchasing decision and their perceptions after using deconex medical devices cleaning solution. (3) to provide suggestions on business strategy in relation to an improvement of CSSD officers satisfaction on using deconex medical devices cleaning solution. The samples groups consist of 60 Chief of CSSD officers of the hospital in Bangkok area who have experienced used and bought deconex medical devices cleaning solution. Information and data were collected in January 2009 via questionnaire. The statistical methods to analyze data of this research are frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, Chi-square test and Paired sample t-test. The statistical package for social science (SPSS) was employed for statistical data analysis. Result of data analysis have found that most of the sample are female, age 41-50 years old, Bachelors degree education, and have work experienced in 5-10 years. The study found that the Chief of CSSD Officers who used the deconex medical devices cleaning solution think that the price, product, promotion had the level agreement is important level; and the place factor had the level agreement is neutral level (Mean= 3.34). The results found that the marketing mix factors have been studying about the variables affecting to the respondents on medical devices cleaning solution-purchasing decision. It can be concluded as follows: Product: Most respondents think that quality of product is the most important on purchasing decision and the second reason is there is safety for user, Price: It is found that Chief of CSSD Officers respondents take an importance on the cheapest cleaning solution as the first ranking and then consider the cleaning solution which is cheaper than competitors with the same quality, Place: Respondents take an importance on convenience to order, following by delivery services rapidly, and Promotion: Respondents like to have demonstrate on usability of the product to test efficiency and give free samples is the most important. For PR and advertising via medical journal, catalog, and brochure are less important on purchasing decision. From the research on buying behavior, Respondents behavior mostly showed that there is purchasing product from sales representative directly and choosing Chemical detergent. The respondents that there is deconex medial devices cleaning solution buying only 1 time per one month and quantity of buying average between 20,000 - 30,000 Baht per time. Most respondents often choose CSSD Officers who are participate in purchasing decision and compare the price and quality of product before purchasing decision. The results of study reveal that the Chief of CSSD Officers satisfaction toward deconex medical devices cleaning solution before purchase decision and perception after using are different. The Chief of CSSD Officers perception prefers deconex medical devices cleaning solution more than the expectation.
