Abstract:
The purpose of this study study the factors that affective leadership in selection, the strategy used to cope with management conflict in a Thai-Japanese company of the management staff and also to study the aillereuces of decision strategy conflict management of management staff. The sample were of 2 types groups. 7 management personals and 36 management subordinators, the instrument were set of subordinator of management staff 36 persons all in a company of Eastern. The instrument used 2 questionnaires; one ask about the leadership of management staff and the other investigating the strategy used to cope with conflict management. The statistics utilized in analyzing were use the demographic to analyze the factors affective leadership and data were percentage frequency mean and standard deviation decision strategy of conflict management. All analyzes were considered on the basis of each aspect it was found that the result of the study were as follows:1. Management staff a leadership, transformational leadership was at a high level, transformational leadership was at a medium level and laissez faire leadership was at a low level.2. The management staff with different demographic information possessed different levels of leadership.3. On the gender basis, management staff with the age rang of 20-30 and 31-40 years had transformational leadership at a high level, transformational leadership was at a medium level and laissz faire leadership was at a low level. The management staff wit the age of 40-50 years old had transformational leadership, transactional, and lassie faire leadership at management staff with a medium level.4. On the basis of education, bachelor one leadership at a low level. Management staff with degrees higher than bachelor one had transformational leadership at a medium level, and lassic faire leadership at a low level.5. On the basis of the work length, Management staff with less than a year work length had transformational leadership at a high level, transformational leadership at a medium level, and lassies faire leadership at a low level. Management staff with the work length of a high level, transactional leadership at a medium level, and lassies faire leadership at an extremely low level. Management with 4-5 years of the work length had transformational leadership at a high level, transformational leadership was at a medium level and laissez faire leadership was at an extremly low level. Management staff with 6-7 years had transformational leadership a high level, transformational leadership was at a medium level and laissez faire leadership was at an extremely level.6. The analysis of strategy of conflict management revealed that the competition strategy was at a low level, the avoidance was at a high level, and accommodation was at a medium level.7. The female management staff used strategies of compromise, avoidance, accommodation, and competition at a higher level of than did the males. On the other country, males had a higher collaboration than the females.8. With regards to age, the management staff with the age of 20-30 years old staff were different; 20-30 years old implement the strategy of conflict management by means of was better than other age groups in using the avoidance strategy to solve conflicts; 31-40 years old implemented the strategy of conflict management by means of the management staff with the age of 31-40 years old was the best in implementing the collaboration and competition strategies; more than 40 years old implemented the management staff with the age of 41 up was the best in using the compromise strategy.9. In terms of education, the management staff with a bachelor degree solved conficts by means of collaboration and compromise. The management staff with a degree higher than a bachelor one had a high tendency of using the collaboration strategy.10. Based on the length of work, the management staff with 1-3 years of the work length solved the conflict by means of collaboration; the management staff with the work length of 4-5 years also implemented collaboration strategy to solve conflicts; the last gropu of 6-7 years of the work length utilized the competition, compromise, and avoidance.11. The analysis of the correlation between the leadership of management staff and the strategy of conflict management revealed positive correlations between transformational leadership and competition strategic, and transactional leadership with collaboration.For the recommendation, management staff should develop a higher transformational and transactional leadership which will enable them to have an efficient necessary to solve conflicts occurring in their organization.
