Abstract:
The purposes of this study was to examine Relationship between Personal factor, Job characteristics, Work environment and back pain of nurses in Naval Hospital, Eastern region. The sample consisted of 308 Registered nursed and Technical nurse who direct care in Naval Hospital, Eastern region. Research instrument, developed by the researcher, were the work task, back pain, working posture, stress and work equipment questionnaire. The reliability were .96, .94, .90, .85 and .83, respectively. These instrument were examined for content validity by five experts. The data were analyzed by the researcher using SPSS for windows version 11.0 descriptive statistics including frequency, percentages, means and standard deviations were used to present the data. Pearson correlation coefficients and Chi-square were computed to measure the relationships among Personal factor, Job characteristics, Work environment and back pain of nurses in Naval Hospital, Eastern region.The study revealed that sex, age, exercise, stress, work task, working posture and enough of nursing personal significantly related to back pain of nurses in Naval Hospital, Eastern region.
