Abstract:
The purposes of this study were to construct supplementary reading materials and activities on Structure and Gas exchange in Living Organisms for Mathayom suksa V students. The quality of the materials was evaluated by three experts according to the standard set by Educational Technique Department. To be approved of its efficiency, they were tried out by the standarized criterion of 80/80 and then the students' learning achievements prior to and after reading the supplementary book were compared. The experiment group for this study was class of 30 Mathayom Suksa V students from Piboon Bumpen Demonstration School, Burapha University, Chonburi Province. The t-test was used as statistics for analyzing the data. The results were that the supplementary reading materials and activities have met the standard with an efficiency value of 86.67/90.00, and the achievement test scores after reading the materials were higher than those taken prior to the reading with statistical significance at .01 level.
