The quality of life in according with the sufficiency economy philosophy and the quality of work of siam Commercial PCL Employees : case study in Ramindra area
Abstract:
The correlation between the quality of life and work is based on individuality. To gather the essential data for this case study, the sample group, which is consisted of 210 Siam Commercial PCL Employees in Ramindra Area (to be stated as The Employees from this point onwards), were asked to fill in a questionnaire. The Research Methodologies used are Percentage, Mean, Standard Deviation, Z - test, One - way ANOVA and Pearson Product Moment Correlation Coefficient. The processed data shows that the Statistic Significance is at 0.05
The research also shows that The Employees strongly follow the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy when considering the Knowledge of the theory and Rationality. However, the factor of self - immunity is at the average level. The most crucial individual factor which statistically and significantly affects the quality of life, in accordance with the Sufficiency Economy, is Education.
The Employees are averagely satisfied with their quality of work considering relationships among the organization, job security, job progress, safety job atmosphere, social contribution and salary. The most crucial individual factor which statistically and significantly affects the quality of work is Education as well as Marital Status.
This has led to the conclusion that the quality of life of the Siam Commercial PCL employees : Case Study in Ramindra Area, in accordance with the Sufficiency Economy, statistically correlate with the quality of their work.
There are also comments on the support from the employers to their employees, to help strengthen the Sufficiency Economy philosophy, which are as followed.
1. Introduce expense planning to employees.
2. Support exercise routine among the staff in favor of mental and physical health.
3. Provide more social benefits.
4. Organize recreational activities which allow employees to build stronger relationships.
5. Create a friendly atmosphere at workplace.
6. Build a sense of belonging within the organization and promise the employees with job security and progressive promotion.
