Abstract:
This research objective aimed at the creation and performance of a food bar filler for elephants in Surin province. Tool used in this research included a food bar for elephants recording from for finding the performance of the bar and specialist evaluation form 5 experts assessed by the evaluating every 4 aspect of 1) infrastructure for the filler bar of elephant in Surin province 2) as of compression cylinder and Indented center flange and 3) a package conveyor and a food pyramid 4) sets of electrical control systems. This evaluation was a ratio estimation (Ration Scale).
The experts opinions towards the filler bar for elephants in Surin province as a whole of each individual aspect revealed at the highest level. (x=4.50,S.D.=0.21)
Performance test results showed that the performance of the food bar filler for elephant in 3 time resulting the averaged input of 38 Kg. per hour, the food average input 37.60 Kg, per hour, which could be calculated as 98.94 percent By hours the average was 696 bars per hour. Food incomplete fracture in a compression found in a bar, or 3 percent of the 696 bar to 21 bars ripping average and each bar weighed 54 grams per bar, which was ahigher criteria of reasonable performance determined.
Monitoring and evaluation of a food bar toward the behavior of elephant of 3 time eat of amount of 100 bars it was found that the elephants ate the bars well. Being observabce from the elephants using their trunks in eating and holding the food whether the food was placed on the floor or being hands. The elephants were able of it into their mouth quite comfortably.
