Abstract:
The purposes of this study were to study and compare academic administration problems in the General Education Ecclesiastical Schools Group 11 in the Northeastern of Thailand. Samples of this study were 122 priests and 187 laymen, selected by a technique of Stratified Random Samples. The instrument of the research was a 5 level- rating scale of questionnaires. It included four aspects academic administration problems of the General Education Ecclesiastical Schools Group 11 which were academic planning, curriculum and teaching management, instructional media, and measurement and evaluation. Index of Item objective congruence of the questionnaire was 0.080. According to Cronbach Alpha Coefficient, reliability of the questionnaire was 0.95 Collected data were analysed by SPSS for Windows, percentage, mean and standard deviation. Research hypothesis was tested by t- test and One way Analysis of Variance.
Results of the study research revealed as follows :
1. The General Education Ecclesiastical Schools Group 11 in the Northeastern of Thailand and problems of academic administration in general and in the aspecs of academic planning, curriculum and teaching management, instructional media, and evaluation at medium level.
2. For the comparative study of academic administration problems in The General Education Ecclesiastical Schools, it was found that school administrators and instructors opinions as a whole were different with a statistical significance of 0.05. When scrutinized individually at the aspects of academic planning, curriculum and leaching management, it reveled at level of .05 respectively.
3. The comparative study of opinion and recommendation were found that both teachers who were monks and laymen working in the ecclesiastical schools Group 11 showed no difference regarding academic administration problems.
