Abstract: This research aims to investigate the perception and opinions of students toward preventing drug problems at Kasetsart University, Bangkhen Campus. The sample consisted of 1,864 undergraduate students. Questionnaire was used as a research instrument. Statistic analyses include percentage, mean and standard deviation. The results revealed that: 1) the level of the students' perception toward preventing drug problems at Kasetsart University, Bangkhen Campus, was high. When considering all related points, the students had a strong tendency to perceive drug problems. The most sensible issue for the students was crime and harm of drug abuse while drug assistance cure was the least ones. Media had a moderate impact on their perception of drugs. Television media and public relations media of Kasetsart University had the most and least impacts, respectively. 2) the overall level of the students' opinions toward preventing drug problems at Kasetsart University, Bangkhen Campus, was high. An increase of drug use was primarily affected by social environment which, in the students' opinions, were the entertainment complex at night on the one hand at most, and imitating celebrities on the other at least. Lecture hall was considered the most appropriate place for antidrug activities whereas the sports area was the least one. Most students agreed that television production and public relations through KU Channel could be the most efficient means to publicize knowledge and activities relating to drug prevention. Opinion forum would be the least effective solution to drug problems.
