Abstract:
The purpose of this evaluation was to evalvate the rural development project supported by the government budget in Surin Teachers College in 1987-1988. The objectives of the evalvation were :-
1. to study the historical background of all rural development projects
which had been run in Surin Teachers College
2. to study and evaluate the ercouragement of the quality of eduction
in the Border Patrol police School which was supported by Surin Teachers College.
The study reveled that :-
1. There were four projects supprted by the government budjet which
had been run in Surin Teachers College. These projects were :-
1.1 Books for a better life of people in rural areas in 1983-1985
1.2 Enrichment program for leaderships of these pioneer group of people in the very poor rural areas in 1984-1986.
1.3 Projects for specific purpose in 1986.
1.4 The encouragement of the quality of edecation in the Border Patrol Police School which started in 1983.
It was also found that the frequency of activity in the encouragement of the quality of education in the Border Patrol Police School was decreased because of several cauces. There were :-
1. the distant between the College and School was very far (About 250
kilometers)
2. The government bedget kept on dereasing.
3. The college system of budgeting was and it was harder to get the money for the project.
However several suggestions were made for promotion of the quality
of education in Ban kunsaad School (Situated in Nam Yuen District, Ubolrathathani.) These suggestions were :-
- Surin Toachers College should pay more attention on acadmic encouragements,
- Besides interviwing, others method of need assessments should be coneidered,
- The comparison of students achievement in this school and those in same area should be done.
