Abstract: การศึกษาวิจัยครั้งนี้กำหนดความมุ่งหมายดังนี้ คือ ประการที่ 1 เพื่อศึกษาความต้องการและความคิดเห็นของประชาชน หมู่บ้านเป้าหมายเกี่ยวกับการพัฒนาตนเองด้านเศรษฐกิจ สังคมและการมีส่วนร่วมในกลุ่มสังคม ประการที่ 2 เพื่อศึกษาความสามารถของประชาชนในหมู่บ้านเป้าหมาย เกี่ยวกับการพัฒนาตนเองด้านเศรษฐกิจ สังคม และการมีส่วนร่วมในการพัฒนาสังคมหมู่บ้าน กระบวนการวิจัยใช้เทคนิคการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ เครื่องมือและวิธีการเก็บข้อมูลใช้แบบสัมภาษณ์และการสัมภาษณ์ การสังเกตการมีส่วนร่วมอีกทั้งศึกษาจากเอกสาร กลุ่มเป้าหมายคือประชาชนหมู่บ้านป่าดงใหญ่ 4 และบ้านโคกสง่า อำเภอปะคำ จังหวัดบุรีรัมย์ ผลการศึกษาวิจัยพบว่า ประชาชนมีความสามารถพัฒนาตนเองด้านเศรษฐกิจ โดยเฉพาะการประกอบอาชีพและการบริโภคอุปโภคอยู่ในระดับเพื่อการยังชีพพอสมควรตามอัตภาพ ส่วนความต้องการพัฒนาตนเองด้านเศรษฐกิจเรื่องการประกอบอาชีพนั้นราษฎรที่มีอาชีพรับจ้างไม่มีที่ดินทำการเกษตร มีความต้องการที่ดินเพื่อการเกษตร และราษฎรทุกครัวเรือนในป่าดงใหญ่ 4 ต้องการเป็นเจ้าของที่ดินอย่างถูกต้องตามกฎหมาย สำหรับการมีส่วนร่วมพัฒนาสังคมระดับครอบครัวและระดับหมู่บ้าน จากการศึกษาพบว่า ประชาชนหมู่บ้านเป้าหมายทั้ง 2 หมู่บ้านมีการจัดระบบบทบาทหน้าที่ทางสังคมของสมาชิกได้อย่างเหมาะสม คือ มีสมาชิกของสังคมที่มีอาชีพค้าขาย รับจ้างขายแรงงานและเกษตรกรรายใหญ่ที่ต้องการจ้างแรงงานเพราะผลิตเพื่อการจำหน่ายหรือการมีส่วนร่วมพัฒนาสังคมระดับครอบครัวก็พบว่ามีการช่วยกันทำงานประกอบอาชีพแทบทุกคนที่เป็นสมาชิกของครอบครัว ข้อเสนอแนะหน่วยงานของรัฐที่มีหน้าที่เกี่ยวกับการจัดสรรที่ทำกินสำหรับประชาชนป่าดงใหญ่ 4 ควรให้ความสนใจเร่งดำเนินการให้ประชาชนมีสิทธิในที่อยู่อาศัยและที่ทำกินอย่างถูกต้องตามกฎหมายโดยเร็ว ส่วนการพัฒนาชนบทนั้นควรเน้นแผ่นดินธรรมแผ่นดินทอง และพัฒนาด้านการเกษตรโดยใช้เทคโนโลยีที่เหมาะสม อีกทั้งควรเร่งรัดพัฒนากลุ่มประชาชนที่มีฐานะยากจนเป็นกรณีพิเศษ

Abstract: This research was aimed (1) at studying the need and opinion of people in the target villages about self-development economically and socially including their participation in social group activities, (2) at studying abilities of the people in the target villages about self-development economically and socially and their participation in development economically and socially and their participation in developing village society. Techiques of a qualitative research had been employed as a process of this research. Tools and method of data collection used are advance-prepared interview froms, interviews, observations of people’s participation and a documentary study. The target groups are villagers of Baan Pardongyai 4 and Baan Coke Sa-nga, Pakum District, Burirum Province. The research findings showed that the villagers were able to develop themselves economically, particularly their earning a living and consumption were seen as reasonable to their economical status. However, in a matter of the need to develop themselves economically some villagers, who are labours without the land of their own, need the land for farming. Furthermore, the people in in every family in Baan Pardongyai village 4 wanted to possess a legal farm land in order that they can participate in social development in the family and village level. It was also discovered that for the people in these two villages, there was a suitable arrangement of social roles and duties for their members, that is, in each community there have been traders, labours and big-scale farmers who wanted to employ workers since they produced goods for sale. As for their participation in social development in a family level, it was found that every member in families actively helped one another in earning a living. Some suggestions put forth are that the government agencies responsible for allocating farm land for the villagers of Baan Pardongyai village 4 should speed up their action to help these people to possess a legal farm land of their own soon. As for rural development it should be emphasized on an ideology of Paen Din Dham Paen DinTong (the land of peace and prosperity) and the appropriate technology should be brought in for developing agriculture and the poor should be given an urgent development in particular.
