Abstract: Effects of adjuvants and insecticides on diamondback moth (DBM), Plutella xylostella (L.) were conducted under laboratory conditions of 25 +- 2 deg C and 80% RH. The 4 x 3 Factorail experiment in CRD with 3 replications was used. The adjuvants consisted of APSA-80, Fiercer, sunlight and check (without adjuvant), while insecticides were of Delfin, Vertimec and Karate. The effects of adjuvant-insecticide mixture were tested on late second instar larvae of DBM (Bang Bua Thong strain) by leaf dipping method. Chinese kale leaves were dipped in the solution for 10 sec before feeding to the larvae. The individual insecticide without adjuvant was also tested. The larval mortality was recorded at 24, 48 and 72 hrs after feeding with the leaves. Results indicated that APSA-80 and Fiercer mixd with Delfin gave the best efficacy in controlling P. xylostella (L.). The percent mortality found in their mixtures was significantly different from other combinations. Increasing doses of adjuvant over the recommended dose did not increase the efficacy of individual insecticide.
