Abstract:
Nowadays, information technology plays an important role in operational procedures. The information of an organization is a key to success. The computer has become more and more important in every profession, it is widely used to store data which can be used to support the operation of an organization. As for an architect's studio, the computer is used mostly for drawing. However, problems arise because there is too much data including countless digital construction plans for each project to be kept; however, they are not systematically kept. In addition, the architect does not know what information is in the file. Such problems cause a delay in the operation, redundancy of information, conflicts with colleagues, and searching for stored construction plans to be further developed. These problems can be solved if the data is kept systematically in line with the way Thai architects work. With the application of computers, masses of information in the studio can be developed and recorded as a database for fast navigation and use. In particular, the data can be stored as digital files; as a result, the work in the studio can be done more effectively and up to standards.
