Abstract:
The purposes of this research were: 1) to compare the learning achievement, mathematical
skills and processes on Decimal and Fraction of Mathayomsuksa I students before and after
learning through the CIPPA and 4 MAT models, and 2) to compare the learning achievement,
mathematical skills and processes on Decimal and Fraction of Mathayomsuksa I students between
the experimental groups using the CIPPA and 4 MAT models. The samples consisted of 80 students
who studied in Mathayomsuksa I in the first semester of the academic year 2010 at Tessabalklung
(Burawittayakal) School, Amphoe Klung, Chanthaburi. They were selected by simple random
sampling and were divided into two experimental groups, 40 students each. The first experimental
group learned through the CIPPA model and the second experimental group learned through the
4 MAT model. The research instruments were the lesson plans based on the CIPPA model, the
lesson plans based on the 4 MAT model, the mathematical learning achievement test and the
mathematical skill and process test. The data were analyzed by mean, standard deviation and t-test.
The results of the study were as follows: 1) The students who learned through the CIPPA
and 4 MAT models showed their learning achievement, mathematical skills and processes significantly
higher than before the experiment at the .01 level. 2) The students who learned through the CIPPA and
4 MAT models did not show the different learning achievement, mathematical skills and processes.
